O.H.S is a soluble tablet formulation of
the standard oral rehydration salts formula containing
a combination of glucose, salt and electrolytes. O.H.S helps to replenish
water and salt and thereby
help maintain a proper fluid balance.
There are a variety of usage occasions including,
When visiting hot/tropical countries
By professional and recreational athletes
For general hydration
When dehydrated due to excessive alcohol consumption
When working in hot climates
O.H.S contains a combination of glucose,
salt and electrolytes to provide a scientifically balanced rehydration aid.
The O.H.S formula is based on the WHO
(World Health Organisation) formula for Oral Rehydration Salts.
|Ingredient||mg / tablet|
|Sodium hydrogen carbonate||331|
|Riboflavin 5 phosphate||0.3|
Scientific research has indicated that drinking water
only during exercise or when you are prone to being dehydrated
is not the optimum hydration solution,
as water stimulates high urine flow and does not provide sodium –
the main mineral lost in sweat. Therefore,
because O.H.S provides glucose, electrolytes and salt,
it helps with the absorption of sodium. During this sodium absorption,
water molecules are also absorbed leading to rehydration.
Thus, O.H.S replenishes water and salt and thereby
helps to maintain an optimal fluid balance.
No. O.H.S is not carbonated.
Each tablet can take a few minutes to fully dissolve depending
on the temperature of water. The reasons O.H.S takes
a few minutes to dissolve relative to some
other soluble tablets include the following,

Artificial sweeteners, also called sugar substitutes, are substances that are used instead of sucrose (table sugar) to sweeten foods and beverages. Because artificial sweeteners are sweeter than table sugar, smaller amounts are needed to create the same level of sweetness.
Clinova's core mission is to help make the world a healthier place and therefore will not support the inclusions of any ingredients that have been proven to be harmful to humans.
